Members of the Colton Fire Department responded with all its equipment to a reported brush fire at the Massaweepie Hunting Club (Brother Ponds) in the Town of Clifton on May 24th. A fire covering more than an acre on steep hillsides was extinguished in about 3 hours after a 25 minute trek into the woods. Assistance was provided by the Cranberry Lake and Pierrepont Fire Departments.
