Colton Fire and all of our brother departments in St Lawrence County were asked to man our stations around 6:30 am on Friday November 1st as high winds swept across the County. Colton Fire responded to at least 15 different incidents of trees and wires down lasting well into the evening. The photos attached are from live primaries down and burning along SH 56. The department made several passes up and down SH56 to Sevey's Corners cutting trees out of the roadway as they fell. Trees fell across numerous power lines and many were without power.

The Colton Fire Department did a great job with the wind and fire problems. I know they were busy from early in the morning until the evening. I stayed home because of my own power outage and the fact that the generator ran most of the night off and on and also during the day. I got little sleep during the night because of it. My Granddog Sophie was with me during the night and day as her family had to go to
Syracuse and she was really frightened.
