The Colton Fire Department provided mutual aid to Parishville for a Wild fire off the "Gold Mine Trail" near the Rainbow Reservoir Dam. Member from Parishville and Colton arrived on scene first...6 miles back off any roads. Mutual aid was received from Pierrepont and Potsdam. Hopkinton and Hannawa were placed on standby for Colton and Parishville. Firefighters spent 6 hours on the scene along with Forest Rangers leaving just before dark. Rangers estimated around 20 acres were burnt.
