Colton Fire Department Awards Banquet

The Colton Volunteer Fire Department hosted its annual awards banquet on Saturday September 17, 2016. Over 90 members, family, past members and guests attended the event including Assemblyman Marc Butler.
Years of service awards were given to Kerry Cochran, 15 years; Angel Angleberger, 5 years; and Catherine Perrigo, 5 years. The Chief’s Award was given by Chief Trevor Wood to his father Rick Wood. Rookie of the year was awarded to Abigail Johnson, who, in her two years in the department, has become an EMT, diver and attended BEFO class. Captain Rick Wood awarded the Captain’s Award to Mary Long. The Associates Award was given out by Vice President Phil Wagner to Amanda Favor.
EMS Captain Jackie Johnson gave out the EMS award to those members of the Pierrepont First Responders that support the Colton Rescue Squad, keeping our response rate high, Mark Davis, Peter Hoyt, Tim Green and John Glasgow.
A “Special” Awards was provided to Nick Fountain and the department’s agitator of the year was won by Paul Caster.
