Foals, Pre-K and Kindergarten students came to visit on Thursday, October 12th. They had the opportunity to learn about the ambulance, fire trucks and watch a fireman dress in his gear. Grades 1-6 came to visit on Friday October 13th. These students had the opportunity to go through St. Lawrence County Fire Safety Trailer. Inside they learned about kitchen safety and what to do if their house was on fire and how to get out of their bedroom safely. The trailer actually fills with smoke to show students what it is like. Students were reminded about smoke alarms, the importance of having working detectors and to change their batteries every 6 months. Students also were able to handle a fire hose to how it felt spraying water. Some of the teachers also tried it out and the kids loved it. Thank you to everyone that made this year's fire prevention a success.
