The Colton Fire Department is asking our supporters and the taxpayers of the town to come out tonight from 6-9 pm to vote in SUPPORT of the proposition by the Fire District to purchase a new engine/rescue unit that will replace one of our 20 year old engines and our exiting rescue truck. This is a project that has been worked on by the Fire Department for the past 3 years.

This truck would provide the department with up-to-date capability and meet the most recent requirements of NFPA guidelines. By replacing two vehicles with a single vehicle with the same capabilities, it allows us to place more equipment on scene with a single crew. The older engine to be placed E-81 has had a multitude of mechanical and electrical problems over the past several years.

This new piece of equipment is going to cost $475,000 partially paid for using reserves the fire district has on hand, partially through bonding, a $50,000 USDA grant, and some of the costs will be recouped through the sale of the existing two vehicles.

Again the polls open at 6 pm and close at 9 pm tonight, Tuesday February 12th, 2019 at the Colton Fire Station

Come out and vote in support! Thank you in advance for your support.
