On Saturday August 5th, 2017, the Colton Volunteer Fire Department hosted the 2nd Annual Rod Thomas Memorial 6 v 6 Soccer Tournament. The day was beautiful and cool, the teams were ready and the games were excellent. Congratulations to the following winners this year:
31 and Over Division – Mahogany Ridge

30 and Under Division – Perry’s Big M

High School Girls – Gouverneur

High School Boys – Chateauguay

Our thanks to all that participated including high school teams from Colton and Parishville, 31+ teams; RJTFC, Asa Levi and Sunday Rock FC, 30 and Under teams; About to Get Messi, Harrisville, USA’s Finest, The Beauty Loj, Head, Heart & Honor, Scrambled Megs, and Cleveland Browns.

In all, we had 155 participants and 18 teams in the Double Elimination Tourney. The Colton Fire Department wishes to thank all the helped including our members and friends, and all those businesses and organizations that donated. A special thanks to Bruce Ames, Karen Peck and Playmaker Products, Bimbo Foods, Sevey’s Point, Ogdensburg Pepsi Bottlers and Northeastern Sign.

We would also like to give a shout out to the Thomas family for their support and Peter Thomas and his wife Charlotte for their hard work.
We felt the tourney was another great success and look forward to next year.
